MAIN COON IS AMERICAN BEAUTY Being the pride of the American nation and the privileged home cats, main-coons have remained such, as their nature had created them. They have the odor of healthy freshness of wild life. Nobody tried to change this surprising balance of proportions and forms. It is causing only the admiration last 1,5 hundred years. And if there is a cat in an image of the human being – it is a main-coon.  Look!.. Whether … this breed is amazing and question is coming: " Is it small lynx? " Being one of the exclusive owners of maincoon, you have the rarest and most exotic home cat. Main raccoon cat or maincoon is one of the oldest breeds of Northern America, where it is fairly considered to be the national. It is the magnificent cat with the strong body, with lynx ears and long fluffy tail. During long period maincoon has remained such as their nature had created them. This breed is considered to be originally the cat of Northern America, state Maine. The name of these magnificent massive cats comes from two words: "main" - from the name of state Мaine, and "coon" - derivative from a word " raccoon ". The second part of the name (which has added to their name already in 20 century) maincoon is translated as " raccoon from state Maine". Most probably, it has gone because of black - marble traditional colour, which is similar to colour of raccoon of state Maine. Maine has also other Nicknames: " Pine Tree State ", " Border State " , " Vacationland " , " Switzerland of America", is located north of the Atlantic coast of USA. Maincoon is a surprising breed. These cats simply admire at the first acquaintance to them. In this breed force and the power are combined with grace, nobleness and restraint. Maincoon amazes a glance by gigantic sizes and majestic kind.    The cats of this breed look very originally: the real giants among the home cats (average weight of the representatives - about 10 kg). The cases are known, when the adult maincoon has reached the weight of 18 kg! Despite such impressive sizes, the cats are proportionally combined and unusually dexterous and graceful. The appearance can surprise the imagination of any man. The large powerful cat with appearance of a wild animal very similar to a lynx. A strong constitution, the square lines of shape, huge paws with beams of fur between toes and large tassels on ears, really remind us about a wild nature. But all alertness will pass as soon as you will communicate some minutes to this "animal". On the one hand, this severe from first glance " the cat - giant " is the completely good-natured, tender, gentle and lovely cat, which will not show any aggression to you, during all life they keep soft, good-natured features.
  Having
powerful claws and the impressive teeth, maincoon never use it in daily
life. These good-natured "giants" are not capable to offend anybody!
These good features are possible to name the natural basis. The
intelligence and intuition are perfectly advanced too. Perfect memory
is also necessary to notice at these cats. They remember words and
intonation of voice well, understand the owner since the first minute
of dialogue. Spending time with such clever cat you will never be
upset. They can be taught to various tricks. If the training will pass
in the form of game, maincoon will take part with pleasure. Maincoon
has excellent hearing (inheritance from a wild way of life), therefore
they can be learnt to respond practically on any sound, whether it will
be singing, claps or knock. Your kitten will hear a conditional signal
from any, even from the most remote place of the house and will run to
you.
 From
interesting features of maincoon it is possible to note a habit "to
stir" water before drinking, they can dig around the bowl, sometimes
"digging" water. It can be the heritage from farmer life, when they
drink water from pools, ponds, brookes and it was necessary to clean
the water from leaves and shoots first. One more feature of maincoon is
its four-seasons fur, which they do not change in their life, in
difference of all other breeds. Their fur has water-repellent feature.
As for care after the fur, it is minimal. As the experts mark, the fur
of these cats is not heaped up.  And
the most important adornment of maincoon is huge and fluffy tail. Its
length is practically equal to length of body of the cat. And they
carry the tails proudly, as they want to say us " Look! What a smart
